World War Z Movie Review

Story :  When a fast-acting virus starts turning people into zombies, former UN investigator Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), his wife and two small children are caught in a massacre in Philadelphia before being evacuated to a  battleship.
Gerry (Brad Pitt) is recruited to travel the world to find a way to fight back against the zombies that are bringing down armies and governments, and threatening to destroy humanity.


Analysis:

Movie is more of a blend of Outbreak,Contagion and 28 Days.

But,It is not a traditional zombie flick.It is  one of the newer zombie films that uses a fast moving zombie instead of the usual slow-moving kind.
World War Z is based on the novel by Max Brooks  Gerry(Brad pitt) plays a role of an investigator that works for the United Nations. Mireille enos plays his wife. They are together with their two little girls in the city when the zombie attack hits. They barely get out of the city alive, with the help of Brad's UN buddies, who then want Brad to do some of his investigating and find out how to stop the zombie plague.It is unlike other zombie films where there is more blood shed in this movie  we won't see much of a blood even after  being bitten by a zombie, you have about ten seconds before you turn into one.Most of the time, they would just bite and cover their victims-like ants- so you don't see body parts flying in different directions.

Movie has  a really good opening and the pacing is then well done with lots of racing around the world and scary encounters interspersed with periods to catch one's breath, but the final resolution of the crisis is lame it is sort of a anti climax

Brad pitt's character is  more down to earth character.  Not a Braniac scientist or a Macho man or an ex-Navy Seal who has a way with guns.

Coming to acting perfomances

We know Bard Pitt is an excellent actor and this film is no less then what you would expect. Regardless of the plot holes and overall abundance of action, Pitt gives another solid performance.

Daniella Kertesz acting was good and rest of the cast has done ok job.

Main hold of the film:
A stunning opening sequence.
Brad pitt acting.
A zombie film with no blood.
Daniella Kertesz Character.

Drawbacks:
The movie's plot was somewhat unlogical and uneventful.
Bad Screenplay.
anti-climax.

Finally :
What it lacks in rhythm and logic, World War Z more than makes up for with Brad Pitt’s intelligent performance and sense of thrilling scale.
Overall the film is entertaining is a good zombie thriller wrapped in good special effects, and great acting.
